The Best Financial Advice I Ever Got...

Read about 7 peoples' account on the best advice they ever received on managing their finances.

My financial tip to you is, to not put yourself through extreme debt at an early age, graduate through college as early as you can (don't come out of college with massive amount of school loan - go to a state college instead), and learn how to save. By the time you're ready to settle down, you can have a lot more choices and room to decide on your future and not be burdened by financial constraint. It's never too late to start working on your finances in a more responsible way. Start by cutting costs and allocate a certain portion of your check to a savings account and never touch it. Bring a sack lunch if not every day, at least two to three times a week. It will be tough in the beginning but when you establish this good habit of saving and self control, it will be second nature and after a while and you will see the benefits in your overall purchasing power and frame of mind.
