Advance Degree
Lately, I have been thinking about getting an MBA to enhance my skill sets but more importantly, to be competitive with those who have their advanced degree and/or certifications when it comes time to vying for promotions and various job positions. In my field of work, MBA's and CFA's are the norm for the top tier job positions. Having to spend the next two to three years accomplishing this feat doesn't really sit well in my stomach. Ultimately, I know I will have to sacrifice and put forth the effort and time to achieve this to even be considered for the jobs that I do want and salary as well.
The Financial Times ran an article on the top 100 MBA programs in the world. According to this ranking, Harvard was number one and 8 out of the top 10 business schools in the world were located in the US. I don't think Harvard is on my radar screen for a possible b-school but even so, accomplishing the feat of obtaining an advanced degree has always been a goal of mine.
